Insulated Plywood With Textured Finish

(For full information and slide show click any image)

Responding to climate change and the harsher winters, we have created an energy efficient thermally enhanced outer wall system. The original outer wall boarding is removed, the wall thickness is doubled, screwing treated timbers onto the original structure. Unlike other methods of simply screwing insulation to the outer walls, this not only increases the structural strength of the home but also provides a cavity to install further insulation and allows the existing wall frame to be checked for rot and replaced. PIR insulation board is fitted inside the new wall structure on top of the existing insulation and in this instance a cost effective outer wall finish of 12mm Wbp exterior grade plywood which is primed & texture coated to provide a traditional finish.
